session 2

I am really excited to be a learning something that will really make an impact on how kids learn. Learning how to write an essential question is critical for me. I need to think of all the answers that kids may type. Plagiarism is also a problem. Kids have no idea that they are even doing it. However, some may not care and will learn the hard way. Will they learn from punishment? Or will laziness and learned helpless follow them them around?
I loook forward to my quest to become a better teacher.

You are doing a great job as a teacher, Wendy. We all live to improve, though, so I'm glad to see you committed to that. When we decide we've got it so together that we can't improve, our kids will suffer. Today it's plagiarism - tomorrow it will be something else that we need to address. Do they tell that to potential teachers in college courses??

Wanting to improve as a teacher is a great goal, Wendy, and one that I am not sure every teacher has. Thanks for your good insights during class and your participation. Your students are lucky to have you.
See you on Thursday.
